has anybody had any experience with STARLINE brass? good bad, or ugly!? i am thinking of ordering some, i am wondering if it is up to the quality of winchester or remington.
Great stuff. I just found some .45 Colt nickel cases that I forgot I had (stored in an unmarked ammo can). Like finding a $20 bill in a pair of jeans you haven't worn for a while.
I like it. Priced good. Use it in 45LC on the hot side(max recomened) and had no probs. Use it for SA and lever. Some have been loaded at least 12-14 times with no issueas here.If it ain't split, re-use it. good luck , Bob
Don't want to beat a dead horse, but when I buy new brass Starline is practically all I buy. It's very good stuff. And I'll second buying direct from them. You'll find they usually have as good if not better prices than most.
It's very good. But if you are loading light "cowboy" loads in a straight wall pistol case (like .45 Colt) you might be better off with Winchester brass. Starline brass won't seal the chamber at very low pressures.
Another thing, they make some obscure brass that others either don't make, or don't sell as new brass. I bought some 45/70 nickel plated starline, great stuff. When I bought an old war horse CZ-52 in 7.62 Tokorav, starline has brass for that seldom heard from caliber.
