State by state gun laws and local law for gun sale?

Do it through a ffl and then the responsibility falls on the buyer to make sure it's legal and the ffl in that state.

I'm in Ohio too. What do you want to know? I'm not an attorney, but here is what I believe to be true and have bought and sold based on these beliefs.
1) I sell only to a person 21 years or older and a resident of the state of Ohio.
2) I post that only those legally eligible to purchase in the state of Ohio contact me.
3) I ask them during email correspondence if they are eligible to purchase.
4) I post that Ohio CHL holders get preference and ask to view either the CHL or DL to verify age and residency.
By doing these things, I feel that I am complying with the law in good faith. Being in SW Ohio, be careful not to sell to a KY resident.
I follow the handgun rules as I understand them to be. I think long gun rules are a bit less restrictive with regard to age, but I ask the buyer to be 21.
I've bought and sold several guns on Armslist in Ohio and have never had an issue. I don't do it often, nor do I do it as a business. Just get bored or want a trade here and there. In the past two years I've bought/sold from/to at least five police officers who showed me the ID and badge when I asked for it. Heck, one pulled up in uniform in a Sherrif patrol car to purchase a Remington R1 from me. No issues. I think putting the "CHL preferred" caveat in draws a more pleasant, more trustworthy crowd. They know that I know they are likely armed and they know that I'm good with that. They also know that I am likely armed and are ok with that. Good vibes all around.
The more educated will pop in with more specifics, but in Ohio you must meet age, residency, and criminal history requirements. The seller's responsibility is to make a good faith effort to know these things to be true.

I ask the question more for out of state sell. I list couple firearms on Gunbroker and buyers are likely in another states. Couple years ago, I actually had a buyer from California bought my Yugo SKS on Gunbroker, I realized he is in CA, CA does not allow the evil Yugo SKS and told him I can't ship it into CA and he backed out. I don't want to ship a firearm to a state/city with unfriendly gun law and get in trouble for it. There has to be a list of these unfriendly states and cities. I checked couple online vendors' websites, only find mag limit but not firearm.

I don’t know if it would have any legal impact, but be sure to include in your listing that it is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that the gun is legal in their area. Also, if you are not an FFL, tell them to be sure that their FFL will accept shipment from an individual unless you’re shipping through an FFL on your end. Many FFLs will not.

But, CA does allow the sale of the Yugo - I live here and I bought one here. It's the grenade launcher that's an issue - felony destructive device in CA law. So, mine was one of the Century versions with a sleeve welded over.
Generally, Federal law requires shipping interstate to an FFL in the buyer's state of residence. At that point, 18 for long guns and 21 for handguns applies, and the FFL will know the local rules.

Yes. I have the Yugo 59 SKS, which is good to go in California.

Since the sale needs to go through an FFL in that other state, that's your guarantee that you won't be violating that state's law. The FFL isn't going to agree to sending you their information to receive an illegal gun.
