So I’ve been using this holster for about a week now and while I like or a lot, I am concerned with very little retention it offers.

I can easily shake it off the gun by holding it by the grip and shaking, and if I turn the gun upside down holding it by the end of the holster, it would fall right out.

I have a Remora for G26 and it stays put under both circumstances.

I contacted Sticky and they said “it relies on the compression in the pocket or IWB.” Well, don’t know what kind of shorts they are wearing, but there’s not a whole lot of compression in my pockets.

The inside of the holster is made from a fairly low friction material, and the whole holster feels just a little loose for LCP. They advertised it for “Ruger LCP, Sig P238...” well LCP is .82” thick and P238 is 1.1”, that’s .28” difference in thickness.

My concern is that with pocket carry, the gun can ride up and expose the trigger in my pocket without me noticing.

OTOH it’s a nice holster and I may be overthinking.

So, anyone else has Sticky SM2 for their LCP ? Want to chime in with your experience?

I use a kydex pocket holster for this reason. My two favorites are from PJ Holsters and Alabama Holsters. The Alabama is better but has an eight week wait time.

After several years of use of Sticky for Ruger’s LC9s and SM2 for the .380 LCP in slacks, jeans, and regular shorts I have never had a circumstance where a gun has ridden up exposing the trigger. However, I have never used the sticky in thin nylon sport shorts.

I also have several kydex and I prefer the Sticky for its grasp on the pocket and for its softer line.

I also use a Sticky magazine holder for the 9MM but I took off the belt loop so it fits easily in a sport coat inside theater ticket pocket.

Love my Sticky.

I have a De santis for pocket carry. Seems to keep trigger in check. Will hold upside down. Two hand reveal.DQ
