Took the 500ATP out to the range again today. Ran the customary 25 nrds of birdshot through it. Practiced correct mount, stance, lean forward etc. Was almost through the box when the gun choked and wouldn't release a fired round.I hit the slide release and finished up the box by hitting the slide realease after every shot.
On my way back home I stopped at a hardware store, opened the case in the trunk of my car and pulled the trigger assembly free. In the store I dug around until I found the right diamter roll pins. I pulled the solid &loose) pins from the hammer and tapped in the roll pins. Using the ever handy dremel I trimmed the pins flush with the hammer. Stuck gun back together, dryfired it a dozen times. Pulled assembly back out,no sign of bending or damage to the pins.Put gun back together....
Hopefully it's fixed, and hopefully I'll get used to the shotgun enough to use it without hesitation, everything isn't automatic yet,but I keep hoping. Oh yeah, the cheapy light/laser still works  .

Glad to see this. Keep going at it.

I suggest the Ayoob Criteria for a defensive firearm. It has to fire at least 200 round glitch free before being used as a stand ready arm.

Do BA/UU/R until you're satisfied it's fixed.

Yup,gonna have to anyway, just to get out of the habit of hitting the slide release after every shot  . Still amazed that the cheapy light/laser combo has stood up to about 75 rnds and hasn't blown a bulb yet. Ordered an Inova x5t ,if I decide to mount it on the gun I'll post whether it works or not.
