I tried several things. Unsalted peanut butter works well.
I'll take your word for that.

I mean… I believe you! and will file that in my head. Never know when you need to improviseI tried several things. Unsalted peanut butter works well.
note to myself… Cream of wheat & dab of greaseI have always used Cream of Wheat filler, plus a dab of grease on top. Ox-Yoke Wonder Lube, these days, but YMMV. It's carried me through 45 years of competition and thirteen World Championship shoots.

I never use Crisco it can turn to plastic in the mechanism if not cleaned often. A mix of beeswax and lard seems to be the best.
alright, hear me out… what about cotton? just plain raw cotton...hear me out again, Wax paper!!! cheap & available and can be rolled out into balls
Probably gets "gummy".How does it turn to plastic?
I don't think wax paper would act as a lube, and I doubt it would be consumed on firing. But since "lube-pills" work perfectly, what would one be trying to improve upon?I think raw cotton would be a fire hazard by itself and wax paper might stick to the balls. Try it and see.
For what purpose?alright, hear me out… what about cotton? just plain raw cotton

front of the bullet for chain firingFor what purpose?
Don't think that would work...as cotton burns pretty good. ? Or do you mean soaking it in a lube? Convince me I am wrong!!front of the bullet for chain firing
That's how I see it. From what I've heard that's how Mr. Colt saw it tooI don't shoot competition. The only filler I need is more powder.
I've heard of beeswax and lambs talo. The lard I'm afraid will get all nasty after whileI never use Crisco it can turn to plastic in the mechanism if not cleaned often. A mix of beeswax and lard seems to be the best.
Raw wool works for rifles. I’ve used it in round ball and minie’ shooting rifles.alright, hear me out… what about cotton? just plain raw cotton
Huh? You mean the old gray honey comb looking things often left in the corners of the ceiling of the porch after I spray the no good stinging things?Wasp nest works.
Yep, they work really well for stopping burnt patches. Never tried it in a revolver.
I didn’t know cotton was flammable. Thought it was a good fire replant and yes, I grow un near peach and cotton fieldsDon't think that would work...as cotton burns pretty good. ? Or do you mean soaking it in a lube? Convince me I am wrong!!
