Stupid question - How do you use stripper clips???

Lock the bolt open. As I recall (I sold mine many years ago), you'll see notches/cutouts on both sides on the front of the bolt. Stick the stripper in the cutouts. Push the rounds down into the mag, remove stripper and ready to go.
Like I say, it's been a few years since I've had one, but I believe that's how it worked.

JR719 is right, but I will add to it a little. They work really fine for me in my SKS but they do take a little practice. Push down near the rear of the rounds, just in front of the clip, and if they start to jam up going in just release pressure for a second then push again. In fact I use the thumb of my left hand for this. This usually gets them right in, not as fast a changing a magazine, but not bad.
Before you use them I suggest you make sure a round will slip through the clip without hanging up anywhere. I had to take a small file and remove burrs from mine. Before I did this they were a real bear to use, but that bit of work made a world of difference. Jim.

I had the worst time with my SKS stripper clips! I'm familiar with 8mm Mauser stippers, and can easily operate them but no matter how hard I shoved (stop! don't do this! lol) the rounds down, they wouldn't budge on 3/8 of my strippers I bought. So....being the handy man I am, I cut off the very ends of the stripper clips, starting with taking off the crimped edge. Note you don't need to do this if you don't have problems in the first place. :D

No problems anymore. Just fit the end of the loaded stipper clips into the notch on the forward part of the bolt, right where the serial number on the bolt should be located. Apply firm pressure on end of round near stripper clips, but do not force it. And...enjoy!
