I'd be interested in finding out just how he got the guns, being a convicted felon and all.

He probably picked them up on the streets of New York... according to Bloomberg that's where all the "illegal" guns are going these days, right?

Only because they've "decopped" him. Put a brimmed blue hat on his head, a clean, pressed blue shirt on his torso, a steaming styrofoam cup of gas station coffee in his hand, and you'd see what appears to be an intense, alert LEO with (maybe) a big smile on his face. He looks like any high school jock who joined the Sherriff's Department, 12 years later.
