Got a call on the land-line this afternoon from LV. Usually ignore calls from numbers I don't knw, but in an election year I'll sometimes chance it.

Didn't really catch the name of the trolling OOPS I meant "polling" outfit, but it was some " semi-English" speaking guy.:what:

Almost hung up but thought I could have some fun and also find out THE PLAN to implement "common sense gun safety" laws.:uhoh:

Firstly he wanted to "speak to the youngest male in the household OVER THE AGE OF 16:eek:
I said that's me (I'm 55) but that came up later on.

I forget the progression of questions, but it started out with fairly benign things about the current problems in society:rolleyes:

BIG pause when I responded that immigration was my biggest concern :neener: (I got the impression that he wanted hang up right then):neener:

As thngs progressed, the questions became so Anti-Gun slanted that it was unreal:fire:

When he asked me if I owned any "military type assault weapons" and I said there's no such :cuss: thing, I think I actually heard him choke:D (Not kidding)

ALL of the questions are posed as "If xyz were more restrictive would crime be reduced" or suicide? etc.

when he asked if there were "any guns in the home" and I said "I'm looking at one right now that's loaded, I think he peed his pants a little.:)

I tried to have fun with some of the answers, but like I said, he barely spoke English and the "survey" could only relate to "Better, Worse, or No Change".:cuss:

Anyway, if you get a call from Las Vegas and want to probably waste a half hour that you can't get back, take this troll OOPS I mean poll.:cuss:

What a coincidence! Late afternoon yesterday I also had a call from an area code that was listed for Las Vegas. I didn't answer it mainly because I don't know anyone there and after a hard day at work I'm in no mood to talk to any telemarketer or survey taker.

To keep this between the lines of our forum mission

1 you did good calling him on military stle assault weapons

2 restricting weapons doesnt reduce crime. Not committing crime reduces crime.

3 guns in the home or on your person do reduce crime.

Like I said keep it between the line.

Sort of interesting they want to talk to "the youngest male in the household, over age 16" when firearm ownership is generally restricted to those over 18 (sometimes 21 for handguns). :uhoh:

Yeah, that grabbed me too, but more from the prospective of an adult male from Las Vegas wanting to speak with someone who may be a minor. Hmmm.
