Anyone know minimum and maximum loads for a T/C pistol in .45 cal?
Picked it up at a gun show with no operator manual. I will eventually call T/C but u could at least point me in the right direction. I know the gun can shoot both miniball and patch ball.

I have a .45 Patriot pistol. Build a loading stand for it. Reportedly, the stocks have a history of splitting with too much pressure if not properly supported. Also, loads over 35 gr. of 3F should be used with caution.

It is very accurate with a .440 PRB and 30 gr. of 3F. 200 gr. REALS shoot good too with 30 GR.

T/C manual calls for loads from 20 to 35 grains of 3F.

I would not shoot over 20 grains, 30 grains is too much. The manual lists 20 grains as the accurate load.

There are no replacements stocks for Patriots from T/C.

a great many pistols, including the Patriot have been ruined by guy trying to pound "too tight" patch ball combos into the bore and using the grip against the bench keep the pistol from bouncing around. Major mistake. Keep patch ball combos on the looser side. Some guys need a hammer to start their rifle's patch ball combos and think they need the same for their pistols. Totally unnecessary destruction for a pistol

I shoot 20-24 grains FFFG in mine. Shoots just fine and very accurate. No need to shoot more than that.
