I Like My Taurus Revolvers. 608, 627, 617, 66, 94, 905, 605, and 2 85s. I think the 605 is my favorite. Or maybe the 617. No it's the ............

I bought a used 85 last year and it has been great. Its really accurate and makes a perfect pocket gun. I load mine with 100gr powerball and it seems like one heck of a potent package. The round noses on the bullet make reloads slick too. There are better guns but you can walk around with your hands in your pockets and your gun is already in hand. Its reassuring a lot of times.

I bought mine last year and had the firing pin break in half after only shooting one cylinder full of ammo. I like the feel of the thing but its an expensive paper weight.

I know I can send it in and I'll do so one of these days. By the way, what is the best way to send this thing back for repairs? USPS, UPS, FEDEX, Mule?

Taurus

I have a 605, and although it is not a 85, I'll give my impressions anyway. I am VERY HAPPY with this little snub nose. It shoots very well and has a great trigger pull. Very smooth.

PHOGLUND, I think Tuarus has instructions for how to best ship your weapon to them. I remember I sent my PT-22 back to them with Fedex.

The way I sent my Rossi 462 in when the hammer cracked was to take it to my local dealer and pay them to ship it.

There were two benefits to this:
1. I didn't have to be home to sign for it when it came back.
2. The dealer can send it USPS which was only about $7.50.

I'll second what rodgerp says. If you in with the dealer and he doesn't charge too much it is really the way to go. I'm not home all the time to recieve the package but I can stop by my dealer and pick it up on my way home.
