I wonder what the deal is with 'Stellar Clips'? Did they go out of the way to make them incompatible with existing moon clips??? Patent them so you can only buy from Taurus?
IDPA, quite frankly, needs to get just a little more realistic with its rules and recognize that one HELL of a lot of people carry 5-shot revolvers.
What they recognize is that if they adjust COF's to account for 5rds, then the 6rd revolvers will have an advantage. I think the primary purpose is to keep the field as level as possible (gamey perhaps).
My local club doesn't have any problem with shoot what ya got, the only time the strict IDPA rules come into play (at least around here) is for 'real' events. In fact, none of the clubs out here care if you've got a 7-shot revolver or ports...or whatnot.. As long as the holster meets the general criteria and you're safe with it..
