Taurus model 62

I have a Taurus Mod 62 with a broken firing pin. I have disassembled the rifle, have the bolt out, have the extractor out and the corresponding piece on the other side of the bolt, but can not figure out how to remove the broken firing pin. It seems that there is a roll pin or drift pin that secures the safety latch on top of the bolt that keeps the firing pin from being removed. I have tapped on that pin with a punch but it doesn't seem that it wants to be removed. ANY HELP would be appreciated because Taurus does not seem to want to help me unless I send the bolt to them, which will take months to repair. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!!!!!

Part 24 is a firing pin pin which looks like it needs to be removed in order to remove the firing pin.

So you appear to be on the right track. Have you tried tapping this pin from the other direction?
