Taurus PT111 recoil spring guide

Hey, does anyone know where I could get a replacement recoil spring guide for a Taurus PT111 without having to send the gun into Taurus? My Son was taking his down to clean and the threaded insert rod simply separated at the threads when he lifted the assembly out. He is a very impatient young man, therefore he doesn't want to send it to Taurus for repair. I've done some searching online and found after market guides for just about every other major pistol manufacturer, except Taurus.

I'd call Taurus.

There is no reason they can't sell you or send you a free recoil spring guide rod.

It isn't a safety critical fitted part or anything.

RC, your awesome bud! I called them today, and although I was on hold for at least an hour, they shipped it out today, so they said I'll have it by Thursday. Talk about top notch customer service.

Was this the brand new Millenium G2 9mm PT111? I ask because I am interested in that gun, but if I've seen correctly taurus also used PT111 for one of their other pistols. Glad Taurus made it right on the first call.

Yes, it is the brand new Millennium Pro. We have like 3 of them in the home, the other 2 are older but still great pistols for the $.
