Tell me about the PSA Dagger

I am guessing you mean Mag release.. Gen4 which came out in 2010 had reversible Mag releases too. I dont see why a Gen3 Clone couldnt be made with one as its still the same simple mechanism that drives all of them.

yes, sorry, that's what I meant

I do have a Glock model 45 that I have switched the mag release over to being lefty. The reason for purchasing the Dagger is that I have a couple PCC carbines that take Glock magazines and wanted another 9mm handgun to pair up with the carbine.

Were you using MagPul PMags? The PMags are known to either not lock the slide back when empty or lock the slide back with one round still in the magazine. I've had this happen in Gen 3 Glocks and the different 80% frames I have built. IT seems to effect non Glock frames more.
No, I was using factory Glock mags.

Dagger is $200 currently.
Where are you buying brand new $200 Glocks? Inquiring minds want to know.
These are not $200. The least I found was $349 for a carry Dagger, not full sized. I can find an used Glock for $450. New are $550. I prefer to pay more for the patented Polymer 2 technology than anything else. Cold hammer forged Glock cannot be beat.

You must not be on PSA's mailing list.
Wouldnt want to either. I prefer firearms that are built with the highest standards, the way they were meant to be built. Glock's polymer is tougher than steel, uncontrollable, yet easily customizable. Their stainless steel is so strong that it cuts the stainless steel quality aftermarket parts, they are nearly indestructible. Their slides and barrels have the highest quality process of any firearm steel including the finish, they are built like diamonds, only matched in quality by H&K and no other.
Most people dont realize the level of quality that Glock utilizes that gives them their reliability and durability. They think that manufacturers like Canik, CZ, SIG, and then still, PSA, Zev, and other such aftermarket Glock cloners are building the same thing, they are not. It completely fine to own those firearms, its completely fine to not desire such high standard of quality and save a few bucks. Its not fine to think that Glocks are overpriced for what they are or to think that their quality is matched.
I desire durability in a firearm, and Im willing to pay more for it. Thats my opinion that I added here. Thats what the OP asked for, thoughts on the PSA Dagger.

You didn't look carefully. $249 for basic Compacts or $299 for a blem optic-cut Compact. Buy whatever suits you and pay as much as you want, but don't mistake what prices are available.

WOW this thread went south in a hurry.

I own many different types of pistols in different calibers. Glock is no better or no worse than other big manufacturers. And I won't hesitate to use a Glock clone or aftermarket slides on a Glock frame as long as everything is made correctly. When it comes to slides, I look at tolerance and how they fit the frame rails along with barrel to slide fit. Another important thing is that the slide is properly heat treated.

While I do own quite a few Glocks and Glock clones to include 80% builds, I still prefer the Canik pistols over Glock. The Canik's are well built, accurate and have a way better trigger than any Glock I have ever shot or owned. I have went down the rabbit hole when it comes to trying different triggers, connectors, and springs in my Glocks.

As far as the PSA Dagger goes, as long as it is made properly, within allowed tolerances, and all metal parts are properly heat treated then they will be fine and last as long as any other brand.

For all of the Glock fan boy chest beating, just remember that Glock offers a 1 year warranty, and PSA gives you lifetime. I don't say this to bash Glock (I own a G17, G26, G19, and G45), but instead to put minds at ease concerning the value of the PSA Dagger (of which I own two).

Still haven't gotten to do anything but dry fire, but I have to say every time I pick my dagger up I am amazed at how nicely the grip fits my hand. I would like the texture to be a bit more aggressive on a carry gun, but they knocked it out of the park on the shape.

I'm always impressed by my Dagger when I pick it up. Mine has the brightest night sights I've ever seen. The grip texture seems fine for me. I briefly owned a Sig P365 which had such an aggressive grip texture that it rubbed my hips raw when carried under a t-shirt.

Is the PSA Dagger as good as a Glock 19? Time will tell on long term reliability. I like that it's inexpensive, made in the USA, and uses Glock mags, trigger, etc. Will I go sell my 3 Glock 19's and replace them with PSA Daggers? No.

I have done a pretty good job ignoring the dagger up to this point. But seeing the glowing reviews and the incredible price, I'm super tempted to buy a couple to put in my get home kits. I was thinking of using hi-points for the job, but.......
Enablers. The whole lot of you.
LOL

Best price I'm seeing on PSA's web site is $299.99. For $70 more I'd take a hard look at this one. I like mine (which I bought from PSA for $399) and think it is higher quality than a Glock (better machining, less stamped steel, no MIM).

I like the Dagger a lot but, trigger is longer than any of my Glocks and without the definite 'wall' before it breaks. My Dagger came with a PSA AK GF3....quite an accessory!

I do not like the stock dagger trigger but I don't really notice the creep when actually shooting it. Some polishing in the right places really helps. I bought a couple used oem glock triggers off ebay for about $30 each and put them in 2 of my daggers.

My last order was $149.99 for a complete slide, and $49.99 for a frame. Total with tax and shipping was $235 plus $30 for transfer brought it to $265. Adding 3 p-mags brought me up to $305 total, and a used oem glock trigger from ebay finished it off at $335. Too bad ammo is so expensive now days because we are truly spoiled at how many cheap yet high quality firearms there are to choose from right now.

Yep they've got a slide on clearance and a frame for 49.99 20 bucks for transfer a couple of mags from amend 2......
I could be into it darn cheap.
