yeah, I also don't recomend putting your AR into battery without a firing pin installed, it seems like a good idea to do when you have 14 mags to empty and you're in your barracks (no loaded weapons in the building) but you'll discover on the first round that it don't work. *cough cough* so I've heard anyways *clears throat* ;-)

Wrong movie Drew.

At Glock Talk they tell me he had a night vision scope on his M16.

That M16 at the beginning of the movie, 'Sniper' - What can you tell me about it? You know the one that his spotter had at the beginning?

The answer to the original, 'Sniper' movie question is a Heckler & Koch SR9T.

Here's the details: SR9T

Again

No

It was not a Chey Tac

Not an H and K

Not a 1911

Not a sack of cocaine

But an M16

:banghead:

ok, I think I can clarify this clusterf***

the Chy tac was in Shooter, thus not relivent to the OP

The H&K was used by Billy Zanes character (in sniper)

the M16 used by the origional spotter (in sniper) is what the OP is asking about, however i have no idea as to the type of scope, haven't seen the movie in years, but if its a big boxy thing, then possibly an early gen. thermal scope.

Vityaz, Andrewsky, Joe Demko, MASTEROFMALICE...

I'm putting you on notice. If I get fired because everyone in my office now thinks I'm a total loon for laughing so hard I actually started choking, I'm coming to live at your houses. In shifts. You supply the ammo. Seriouosly. My face is all red, my eyes are popped out, and I think they think I need to see a shrink.

So thanks. Be seeing you.

FWIW, the only thing I learned from "Sniper" was how to say "sunglasses" in Spanish.

Favorite part in "Sniper"

I liked when Tom and Billy were on the train and Tom asked Billy what is that you have there? Billy said Gootchy Flage. Tom asked to see it and threw it out the window of the train. Then he replied "We don't have room for Peter Pan on this hunt" I was rotflmfao!

Ceetee, unfortunately, I don't have enough ammo for me.

Now... If you were to stay with Andrewsky, I'm pretty sure he'd be happy to hook you up with plenty in the caliber(s) of your choice.

Stephen Hunter

As posted earlier, "Shooter" was based on the book "Point of Impact' by Stephen Hunter. The movie comes nowhere near doing the book justice.

As an aside, I've pretty much read everything Hunter has written, and highly recommend his books. Especially if based on "Bob Lee Swagger"
