The book says 1.76 for the .223 but!...?

I trim to 1.750" and don't measure first. I just run it all thru my Lee Quick Trim after sizing. I shoot this at little holes to 300yds.
1.750! YEP! round number & good number to! mix with 75’s and 24 of BLC! all good numbers
 
Glad it was a simple thing to sort out. I started looking at my cartridge collection and thinking you had a cool handgun wildcat.
 
I’ve found some range brass as low as 1.743” but it shot once so it will shoot again. I do try to keep them all together when testing loads. Once I start production I don’t worry about them getting mixed with others. I can’t stretch them & my trimmer won’t trim less than 1.749” so I just load and shoot anyway.
