I've been putting off buying a tumbler for too long. I've been washing my brass in hot water & liquid Tide detergent, and with fair results....

The other day I was trolling Midway.com looking for replacement handles for my Lee hand held auto prime tools, I found them and sent them to my "wish list" while I looked around for a few other items.

Now I've had their Frankford Arsenal tumbler kit in my wish list for a while now, and have watched the price go from $69.95, down to $60.95, and back up. My birthday was this past Wednesday (8/25) and Midway had sent me a special B'day promo with special reduced "Birthday Prices" on everything on my wish list. The tumbler kit was $52.95...so I finally jumped on this good price and included it on my order.
Today my order shows up, and I set up my new tumbler, poured in the corn cob media, a little polish, and 150 rounds of brass.....with that, the motor on this thing dies. All it would do is hum. and I even took the bottom plate off and coaxed the motor to spin, but no dice.
I call Midway, and they are sending me another tumbler, and told me to keep this one. The guy said they had gotten a shipment of bad motors, and mine must have slipped through the cracks. He also told me that if I can find a replacement motor for it, then I'll have two working tumblers. No sooner than I got off the phone with them, I got an e-mail confirming my order of 1 replacement tumbler at no cost, no shipping, and no returns.

This is why I like dealing with this company, they carry everything but powder and primers, they have a fair & honest shipping policy, the NRA round-up policy, their prices are some of the best, and they stand behind everything they sell....you can't ask for more then that

good deal, I'm glad to hear they are so reputable, I've been considering a few things from their myself. I do have one question. You mentioned "the NRA round-up policy", umm, wassat?

I concur that they are a good company to order stuff from. I recently recieved a damaged product from them, damaged during shipping, and they sent out a new one immediately without giving me any sort of run around. They had me send the old item back and they even refunded my shipping charges to get the damaged product back to them. Not many companies that will go that far.

Other companies that I have had very good customer service from are:

Hornady - no hassle replacement of a expander assembly that I damaged and was lost in the mail when I tried to return it to them, I got a letter saying they recieved a torn envelope with my address on it, I called customer service and told them what was in the package and I recieved my new one just a few days later, I cant say enough about their service

www.newegg.com (the best around if you need computer parts)

I've always gotten excellent treatment from Midway...........a main reason I've spent a TON of money with 'em. In fact, I got $300 worth of goodies due tomorrow from them. :D :D

Phat.....................
I discovered newegg a few months ago myself .................GOOD STUFF!!!!!

NRA Round Up

beardking,
NRA RoundUp is an easy way to send a little money toward the NRA. Here is how it works; say your order is for $45.85 you "roundup" to $46.00 and the NRA gets $0.15. Midway has been doing this for a while now. Don’t have a catalog here at work but they are in the millions of dollars now. They have it printed on their catalog how much as of….

I hope you got a bigger one, because about a month ago they had the smallest Frankford Arsenal one for $37'ish. :)

Man, that sounds awfully familiar. I started mine up the night I got it too, about 300 9mm and 100 .45ACP cases. It started fine, was churning everything around quite nicely when I left for a frisbee game. Came back 2 hours later, and it was sitting there humming to itself (stuck motor), and quite hot too!

Didn't get service THAT good...but I just asked for an RMA, and sent it back. UPS bounced the new one off my door yesterday (today too); I'll be picking it up from the depot this evening. Still, Midway credited my CC for the cost to ship it back, and must have sent the new one out 2nd day air.

I read the reviews at their website before I ordered, and from the sounds of it this is a common problem. I took my chances, got a dog, but the only thing I'm out is time. No complaints here.

Midway might not be the absolute cheapest company to deal with, but they sure are nice. You get what you pay for and sometimes you get a real bargain. I think Midway falls into the real bargain category.

Midway also has the most user friendly website and gives a price break to FFL holders, including C&Rs. I get just about everything from them I can.

Order stuff from Midway?

Heck, I'm making the morgage payment on their warehouse.:D
Haven't bought a tumbler yet tho'. Still using an ice cream freezer from the thrift shop.

I agree that their website is one of the easiest to navigate and their customer service is tops.
