I think it's a win for us. He is letting congress decide, the lead attack from his mouth was Universal Background checks, that was his first statement. After that it looked to diminish to me. Assault weapons ban won't make it through, the ten ronder is iffy, the rest is more than likelly mental health issues and the attempt to block importation of military syle weapons, "whatever they are?", but he even said it's got to go through Congress. Maybe 10 round mags,but if we raise our voices now, th entire thing might be a bad memory in 6 months.
I didn't see any "hard line" in what he said, it sounded more like he was "asking" congress to act, not demanding that EO's be put into effect.
