I spotted a copy of the Baen edition "in the wild" yesterday at the "Guns Galore" gun shop in Fenton, Mich. It was resting on the counter and was obviously being read when it wasn't busy in the store.

Two copies of MHI spotted on Barnes and Noble shelf in Oklahoma City. Thumbed through a few pages. Looked funny. Reminded me I was out of money, what with Nietzsche, Pynchon, and Zelazny already under arm. Congrats on the book. May you live long and prosper.

Fantastic Book, I have finished it once and am rereading it. I don't think there is a friend that I haven't pitched the book to yet or at least directed to the 7 free chapters.

Bought my copy off Amazon in May. Just got it yesterday and am happily reading the heck out of it. Thanks for taking the time to entertain us. When is the sequel hitting stores? You know we'll all buy it....

#2 the rough draft, is done and sitting on the publisher's desk. No contract or date on it yet though.

I've also got 2 other series I'm hoping to sell. One based off the Welcome Back Mr. Nightcrawler mega thread on here, and the other called The Grimnoir Chronicles. (alternative history 1932 with magic).

Congrats to ya Larry. I have the original book somewheres around here, and I'm looking at the patch right now.:)
Just bought & downloaded the ebook from Baen's Websubscription site to transfer to my kindle. Much success to you. Looking forward to MHI 2.

Larry, contact sighted @ local Borders, will snag after payday.

Dude, you gotta give some of the team Deer Hunter-style Remington 1740s...:D (but wait 'till I finish building a prototype of the TactiCool-ed Out version, OK? Or send me specs for one...)

You know, I've got a few characters that could get away with a 1740. And I've got one in the next book who could do one of those with a Browning BPS sandwiched in the middle. :)

Just finished it - Great! Waiting for Vol 2...

(And you can't tell me they don't have a BAR sitting in the armory somewhere...)

I got mine the other day and finished it the following day. This was honestly one of the most entertaining books I've read in a long time. My wife said she couldn't remember the last time I tore through a book like that. Like the cover says, if you like late night monster movies (I love them!) you'll love this book.

Well, I guess I'll have to buy it now. Dang those first 7 chapters!!!! I thought it would be dumb until I read those first 7. Congrats on your sales. Oh, and if you ever need to speak portuguese I can speak it pretty fluently. However, the FBI said I only had #2 proficiency. Whatever that means. Boa sorte com seu livro!

longdayjake, hey, how is your Portuguese swearing? I may need some assistance. I'll send you a PM with some questions.

Ok, didn't even get thru the first chapter on the Baen web site and I'm hooked. Will check the local Barnes and Noble this weekend, but will order from Amazon if I don't find it there.

Larry,
The book was a great read!!! I hope you dont mind a small piece of criticism though....Dont you think a Monster Hunter should have an AR in .50 Beowulf!?? It just seems such a natural fit, I imagine a .50 silver slug would sting a might..... Again a terrific book, now give us MORE!!!!!!!!!
