I tried to search for threads already on this, but let's face it, 'Browning A5' just came back with way too many threads for me to sift through.

You may notice a family resemblance, but let’s get one thing straight, this ain’t your Grandpa’s Auto-5. In fact, the iconic humpback-shaped receiver is the only thing this new Browning autoloader shares with its legendary namesake. The all new Browning A5 is built to be the most reliable, fastest cycling, best performing and softest shooting recoil-operated (yes, recoil-operated) autoloader on the planet. And we are so confident in the A5, we are standing behind it with a 100,000 round or five year guarantee that this shotgun will work, come hell or high water. Standing firmly behind this claim is the ultra-reliable, honed to perfection Kinematic Drive System.

So I guess it's just a brand new shotgun design that's made to LOOK like a Browning A5, that they stuck the Browning A5 name on. Still interesting though.

About time they brought it back! The system they have it operating on looks exactly like my Winchester SX3. Hope they bring it out in a 16 gauge, a guy I hunt with has one and its simply amazing.

It is nothing at all like a Winchester SX3, which is gas-operated .

The old Browning Gold was the same gas-operated gun as the SX3.

This new A-5 is not an A-5.
It is an inertia operated action just like a Benelli.

Maybe they should have named it the B-5.
That B could stand for Browning, or Benelli.
