I have always found the BHP doesn't work in a 1911 holster worth a dang, no matter who made it.
Really? I just considered a puchase of a BHP .40 about 6 months ago. Went to Gander Mountain and tried a BHP in a Bianchi Carry-Lok. Fit was perfect!

CZ P01 and 75B works great in a FIST belt slide made for a Glock 10mm/.45

SW j-frame in a Don Hume Belt Slide for a Glock 10mm/.45

CZ 75B worked really well in a Uncle Mike's kydex belt holster for a Glock 17 and in the two other belt slides mentioned above

Other than barrel length, a CZ 75B also fit perfectly into a pancake holster for a Beretta 92.

Glock 30 fit great in a Safariland 3-slot pancake for a HK USP Compact .45 after I had the thumb break removed

Ruger GP-100 4" works great in a Don Hume Askins-style belt holster for a SW N-frame

I have an Uncle Mike's cheap IWB holster for a Ruger SP101 3" that also fits a GLOCK 26/27 and 19/23.

FYI, a Ruger Redhawk with 5-1/2" barrel fits perfectly in a surplus leather flap holster originally made for a Webley MkVI with 6" barrel. I think a 6" S&W N-frame or Taurus equivalent would also fit in this holster.

Also, when I was working in a gun shop I would stock Don Hume belt slides(JIT,H710 "Agent") for the Glock 29/30, as I found that the HK USP in 9mm/.40S&W would fit perfectly in those holsters. Likewise, the Kahr, KelTec P11, and S&W SW9 can share holsters.

Fella's;

A Bianchi size 13, for Ruger P90, will accept the Ruger SP101 2.25" barrel, .357. The retaining strap works, with adjustment, of course. However, it's not perfect, but certainly acceptable. The trigger is covered & with the strap, retention is not a problem. Don't think retention would be a problem even without the strap due to the SP101's cylinder being wider than the frame of the P90. Ease of holstering is marginal, but not completly out of line.

My Galco paddle for a Sig P229 fits my CZ PO1 quite well....

My Uncle Mikes Old World Pancake holster originally bought for my Sig P228, actually fits my CZ-75B, although the slide sticks out of the bottom just a little. And it has a thumb-break, so I could carry the CZ cocked & locked if I wanted to.

I carry my Kel Tec p-11 in a Don Hume belt slide made for a Beretta 92 which as stated also fits my CZs.

My CZ PCR fits an Aker Leather model # 168-A belt slide holster made for a SIG P225.

I had a FIST belt slide (forget the exact model) made for an XD .40 that I had that also fit a Sig P220 and P226.

My Don Hume JIT belt slide not only fits my P11 but also, P08 Luger, MKII Ruger, 1911 all perfectly!

Galco 1911 G-Slide fits commander, and BHP just fine, Ditto for Dillon's CLS (Cactus Leaue Slide). That good old US GI holster designed for a 1911A1 will also fit your commader, BHP or strangely, a Luger.

Colt Magnum Carry/Detective Special will fit well in a holster designed for a Ruger SP-101. (Galco Hi-Ride, Bianchi Accumold)

And, with a little gumption, a holster designed for a six inch Ruger Gp-100 will fit a Colt New Service IF it doesn't gover the trigger guard (Bianchi #5) Colt's New Service is a hard gun to find leather for, some Python holsters fit, some don't.

Any holster that fits a 7.5 inch Colt SAA or Ruger Vaquero will fit a Colt 1851 Navy or 1860 Army.

The FEG Pa-63 is bigger than a PPK/s... it may or may not fit holsters designed for the Walther.

My K9 fit in my 1911 holsters to different degrees of success. The Milt Sparks was good the Rafter S bad with the Alessi in the middle.

I have a Sig P225 and P245, but I just order holsters for the P245 because the P225 fits perfectly. Slide's just a bit shorter.

My Wild Bill's paddle for my 75B is also a perfect fit for my 1911 Commander.

My Don Hume JIT holster for my Sig 2340 will also fit my XD 9.

My one Galco FLETCH will also fit my 2340 and XD, and my Ruger 345.

Highnoon IWB purchased for Styer M9 and I use it for my S&W 457 I had to do a small amount of work for the safety to cruise in and out easily.

MODS, PLEASE MAKE THIS A STICKY.

This is a great thread and thanks to the starter. This is the kind of thing that I read THR for. Where else are you going to get this kind of info? Nowhere, thats where.

If this was in table form it would be great. Anyone good with that kind of thing? We could link to it if needed and have a great resource.

I guess I'll add my two cents. I had a Glock 17 holster that fit my Ruger P-95. I guess it would work in a pinch but it was not great.

Sparks Watch Six for 4" 1911.

Fits my FM hipower Detective 4" perfectly. My Galco Belt slides for 1911 fit 1911s, Makarovs, Hipowers, and Kahr 9mms. The Kahr holsters with thumb break fit 1911s with the hammer down, or hammer back with a standard sized safety. Extended or Ambi-safetys come off in the holster with the thumb break.
My Miami Classic for Kahr k-9 fits the micro and compact 1911s perfectly. (The mags don't fit in the offside pouch, but a new mag carrier is cheaper than a whole new rig.)

Don Hume JIT for XD compact

Sold the XD and kept the JIT because it fits my:
  • Sig 228 9mm
  • USP Compact .45
  • Beretta Cougar 8000 9mm
