The REAL DARKSIDE

I have a CZ-75 that was given to me as a gift about a year ago. It sits in the gun cabinet. It is a nice enough gun but doesn't send me. I also have a Glock 19 that never sees any range time either for the same reason.

I’m a GLOCK guy, but ‘found’ CZ about 6 months ago… purchased a CZ75B… I’m now planning to pick up a P-01 here REAL soon.

My GLOCKs are still it though. ;)

By the way PCRCCW, you said:

“CZUSA is offering the kind of support most companies WISH they could offer.â€

With my personal experience, I’d have to disagree with that… had my manual safety lever break on me shortly after I purchased my 75B NIB. Called CZ & was informed that I would need to purchase the part even though it had an obvious defect. I dealt with the gunsmith Mike & found him not to be much of a ‘people person’… If I’m remembering correctly, the part cost me almost $30 & just about $10 in shipping charges on top of that! There was no offer for me to send in the gun, which I would have declined anyway, but still, no offer.

On the bright side, I found that the gun ‘detail strips’ easily without special tools & I ended up with a GREAT trigger after a polish & stone on everything that needed it.

Here she is: (Custom AGrip job & all!)

Hey Michigun....well there are always exceptions to the rule. Any parts that IVE needed for reasons similar to yours..theyve glady shipped out the same day with not a hiccup....
Now when I ordered a follower for 2.00$ and they hit me with 9.00$ to ship it....then I wasnt happy either.
Sorry you had a bad experience with them.....Mike is a great gunsmith and is doing better in other regards as well.
Shoot well..........

Michigun - Maybe you caught Mike on a bad day. I've contacted him about a couple of things and both times was satisfied. He sent me a slidestop spring at no charge for my CZ83 even though I wasn't the original owner.

Sure,,, I like brunett's. :p

But I also like Blonds and red heads,,

hell I'd even take a bald one if the SHTF! :p

Yeah, I understand that PCRCCW… one time hardly makes something the norm.

I may very well have caught him on a bad day boogalou.

I'm still like my CZ nonetheless… should be apparent as I’m getting a P-01. ;)

Mike is a good guy, but unfortunately he is only one guy and is not always there.
CZ should have a couple guys... especially since they are becoming so popular.

9 bucks for shipping?
Wow. When I ordered the guide rod for my 97 it was only 2.50.
:D

You will be assimilated...

Darn near bought a CZ75B. It was just plain right, but then I found the S&W1911...and the CZ will have to wait for the checkbook to recover.

I intend to get one. They are about the only big 9mm I can stomach. Keep the Glocks, Berettas & Sigs. I want C&L carry, thank you very much.

I used to own a 75B Mil. I was quite impressed with it in a lot of ways. I however am not a fan of the 9mm in a full size pistol. Obviously this model was intended for military use.
I am curious though if the commercial CZ's are fitted and finished better.

CZ's are very good pistols in my opinion. I just prefer my 1911's.

I may take a closer look at the Rami though in 9mm.

I like CZs, and will own another again, including the little commie era CZ70 .32, which was a nifty little gun. I want another CZ75 Compact, a RAMI, a full size CZ75, and a CZ75 Compact 40 Melt!
I am worse - I also have two of the Tanfoglio evil twins!!!

I own several autoloaders...the CZ-75B is easily the best value and easiest to shoot...Maybe I need two?:D
