Aficionados of Winchester rifles are well aware that the M-70 rifle , in its Pre-64 listings, was never offered in .223 Rem caliber, nor its 1950's forbearer the.222 Rem even during the era of its runaway popularity.. But when there is sufficient will, there is always a way, especially when talented craftsmen of metal and wood are involved. Their combined talents resulted in this Pre-64 M-70 converted to .223 Rem, with elegant metal refinements and rust-blueing by Duane Wiebe and classic style stock sculpted by stockmaker Monty Fleenor...
