Aficionados of Winchester rifles are well aware that the M-70 rifle , in its Pre-64 listings, was never offered in .223 Rem caliber, nor its 1950's forbearer the.222 Rem even during the era of its runaway popularity.. But when there is sufficient will, there is always a way, especially when talented craftsmen of metal and wood are involved.
