Just setting aside the usual why on Earth would you want a .380 ACP when you can get a micro 9 mm, if you were to choose between these two .380 compacts which would it be?
Yes I've heard that the trigger on The Bodyguard is almost 10 lb.plus the reset is really longHaving handled both, I would say the LCPII. I love my S&W M&P pistols, however the Bodyguard trigger is awful (though it does provide double strike capability, if that's important to you).
Personally I carry a Ruger LCP1, Gen 2.
You can't believe everything you hear on the internet.Yes I've heard that the trigger on The Bodyguard is almost 10 lb.plus the reset is really long
Must be hit or miss. My dad bought a BG 380 after he shot my SIG P238 some. Tried to convince him it wouldn't be a comparable experience, but the $200 difference was all the convincing he needed. Reset wasn't horrible but trigger pull weight was in the high 8, low 9 lb range and would deviate by nearly half a lb from one pull to the next. That wasn't internet hearsay. You can't believe everything you hear on the internet.
I just tested the trigger pull on my BG 380 and the average over ten cycles was 5 pounds 4.2 ounces and reset is fine; it's hammer fired DAO. Had both and just about gave away the LCP but the BG is still with me.
Find a store that sells pocket holsters for those and tell them you wanna try the holster but don't have the gun.just need to go see if some store will let me put it in my pocket.
Good point. Plus these reviewers all seem to have hands like a pro basketball player. So nothing feels right in their hand but a full size 1911BG380. Yes the trigger sucks....but it is a deep concealment weapon meant for close up self defense only. Not a target pistol.

and the trigger of a 1911.
You need to consider reviews from folks that fire double action revolvers, if you can find them.
If you’re reading a gun mag like Gun Tests, it seems like all they like are 1911s and nothing else is good enough. Even for a close up self defense gun.
