The ugliest rifle competition!

I'd take one of those over the Bushmaster 25th Anniversary abomination.

As far as ugly goes, I've never cared for those French FAMAS rifles.

Just goes to show, I guess. I don't really dig spaceguns/raceguns, but I think those JP rigs look pretty awesome.

Then again, I used to think the FAL was a real dog. (used to think)

Hondo68: Those pics make me sick. Thats just horrible.

I don't mind those JP rigs at all. I wouldn't get the green anodizing, but they are pretty neat.

This is what I call Ugly:

Lets not forget this abomination:

My thumbhole sporter SKS. I bought it for its ability to take AK magazines before all the AK varients hit the shelves. I cringe every time I look at it.
It really is quite uglier in person, as a closer inspection while allow one to notice the handguard and stock don't match in color, and the ergonomics of the thing are horrendous.
100% reliable though.

Oh come on. Chuck heston packed an anti-wookie rifle.

Still think its the Hakim:barf: :barf: :barf: but none the less its my next rifle. All that cheap 8mm Mauser ammo you know:D

I've always thought that the Sten was pretty ugly. Of course, anything with a thumbhole stock is pretty nasty as well.

I've always thought the JP Enterprises rifles looked really awesome.

As for the ugliest gun I've ever seen, I knew a guy who had an old auto-loading .22 that had to have been 1940's-50's vintage. The stock was held on with duct tape. It wasn't much to look at, but it was a lot of fun to plink with!

I wish i had a picture of my grandpappy's old semiauto shotgun (browning?) that had a huge square receiver ala SKS. IF that didnt make it ugly enough, the foregrip shattered one afternoon while i was plinking, and so i fitted it all back together, said 'what the hell', and wrapped it in electrical tape  :barf:

Hondo68 any other details on that "M1 Garand" thing? It looks like from the pics that he's using a short stroke piston (like in the M1 carbine) on a shorten op rod, instead of a gas cylinder. The gas port looks to be just in front of the stock instead of near the end of the barrel (pic 8, 9, 11). Since he has a full bridge scope mount centered on the receiver it looks like he has fashioned a fixed magazine where the en bloc would go. Plus the mount has a fold down peep (pic 2, 12). Why someone would do this is one question I'd like to ask, another is does it work??
