While making rounds to my local gun stores in the last week, I have run across the following..

Mec shotgun shell reloader(s) in 12, 20, 28, and 16 gauge (Two different stores)
209 primers, wads, hulls, shot, and yes,.. the appropriate powder(s)
Hornady Lock-n-load classic kit
Several RCBS presses and Kits
Many, many die sets (you need it, I found it, trust me)
New Brass (38, 40, 44, 270, 7mm, 243, 223)
Several shell holders, pins, etc.
Tumblers, trimmers, and various other tools a basic bench would need...

All of the above was found at Field and Stream in Chesapeake Va, Bass Pro in Hampton Va, and Green Top in Ashland Va.

I left it all on the shelves for someone else that may actually need these, so they may purchase them at retail price.

For those new or just getting back into reloading like myself, get up early, get out of the house, and make your rounds. You will find what you need and a lot of it is not posted online.

I had to figure things out supply and demand wise pre internet. Those things still work without resorting to the web or smart phones. You should look for paper manuals/reloading data as well. At least the reloading supplies thread has a lot of members helping others.

I've been bartering a lot. I've been trading a neighbor who doesn't reload anymore but used to hand loaded ammo for his old supplies - some SRP and a bunch of LRP. Today I traded a pound of FFFg Goex gold label (Olde Eynsford) for a pound of Unique. The Goex cost me $30 a few years ago but I had to wait a LONG time to get it - that was during one of the shortages but I don't recall which. I still have a pound of 2F Olde Eynsford and have arranged to trade some BP cartridge loads for more BP, 3F and 2F red-label Goex. I call that a win-win. :)

Very true. My point being, the shelves aren’t always empty. Just have to look local as well as online.
we should all do our part in keeping the shelves full. By not buying a single thing thats even a little over prices!

Barter, trade, swap, barrow, Steal (jk) but don’t buy!

I found 6, 1 pounders of pistol (P) Pyrodex at Farm & Fleet (Wisconsin) and bought 1 one and left the others. I only load 30 grains, if that, in a pistol. 7000 grains by 30 is about 233 loads. May be I should have bought 2? Don't really know how long all this (*&*%$$ is going to last.
My brother said, Dunhams Sports allows senior citizens to shop 2 hrs. early, but they only sell loaded ammo an BP cleaning supplies.

it will last.... 3 more months when everyone ran out of money and credit

then the deals will be had!

That is surprising Field & Stream had reloading stuff. They are owned by Dick's and Dick's is anti-gun.

Field and Stream had more reloading components (and guns I might add) available than Bass Pro Shop. Maybe it’s because people don’t bother to shop there??

I think it was 2008 and I decided to start casting some bullets. Couldn't find a lead pot or moulds anywhere. So I figured I needed to find a small company that was big enough to have a website, got all what I needed except 1 set of dies, and the guy said I was lucky and I said why. Someone placed the order and when it came in didn't want it. Yea you have to be prudent, look at the smaller out of the way places. Years past you could go to a country store and buy ammo and stuff, most of them have been put out of business by Dollar stores.
