I watched these incremental steps in the U.K. for decades from 1969 into the mid 1990s. I lived there twice, have had licenses there, watched the m.o., and in the end - now, it is extremely difficult to own anything legally there except for some specified and very restricted purposes. But firearms are still readily available on the black market, and they will never go away.
"Gun control" is a complete myth. It is all about disarming the population at large. We do not need any new "gun controls", and the goal should be to eliminate the ones in place. Not being on the defensive every time one of these elitist mouthpieces comes along and proposes more.
