Think I got a keeper.....

My wife, that is. For our first Christmas together as a married couple (only 2yrs ago), she got me a Uberti 3rd Model Dragoon. I later had Hoof Hearted install a Kirst gated .45Colt conversion, do some tuning and install a Skinner dovetail front sight (which I still have not reshaped). I recently had Sack Peterson fit it with one-piece elk antler.



For our second Christmas, she got me the little Uberti 1849 Pocket model.



For my birthday this year, she wanted to get me the 1851 "Marshall" but it was out of stock. So she got me the Pietta 1851 Pimp Special instead, not sure I would like it. Surprised myself that I really did like it!



She must've been paying attention when I said something about wanting a pair of them. Because last night she gave me another one. This morning I opened another gift to find the "Marshall" inside. She really outdid herself this year!

That Dragoon is a beauty. I want to have Hoof do a gated Kirst conversion on my Dragoon too (When I can afford it!).

I have always liked the looks of the Marshall too....I think that would make a neat little conversion as well.....

Thanks guys! We found each other later in life so we're kinda trying to make up for lost time. We don't have any children so we just spoil each other.

The receivers are steel but I think the grip frame is plated brass.

Use a cheater bar to give you more leverage. A plian (or engraved) piece of pipe will do.
