Propted on another Zombie thread, I saw this link

http://zombiehunters.org/forum/

This is a joke right? These people are not really serious are they? Please, please tell me I am just being dense and not catching the obvious sarcasm.

I mean there are topics like Zombie flesh digestion, Zombie ants, and the ever popular Zombie power generator.

Please dear god tell me I am just missing the sarcasm and that these people are not really serious.

:scrutiny: :scrutiny:

Me thinks thou dost protest too much - Whats your username on there?

From the FAQ:

Q: What is Zombie Squad?

A: Zombie Squad is disaster preparation community.

We focus our efforts towards promoting the importance of emergency preparation awareness and working with local communities around the globe to teach them what is needed to survive whatever crisis may come along like natural disasters or man made disasters.

Our mission is to make sure you are prepared for any crisis situation that might come along in your daily life which may include your home being invaded by the undead menace.

Zombie Squad also supports other local and international disaster relief organizations/charities. Check out our events page for the latest charity event we have coming up.

Q: Do you really think Zombies are real or is this some sort of zombie movie fan site?

A: Zombie Squad realizes that it is quite possible for someone to live their entire lives without encountering the undead nuisance. However, we hold fast to the belief that if you are prepared for a scenario where the walking corpses of your family and neighbors are trying to eat you alive, you will be prepared for almost anything.

Zombie Squad is very serious about promoting public awareness of the need for survival preparation and contingency planning.

How could you not take the threat of a zombie outbreak seriously :scrutiny:

There have been several popular documentaries about large scale zombie outbreaks, despite the attempts by the government to cover them up by claiming they are "fiction".

You don't think all that chaos down in New Orleans a couple years ago was just the result of some hurricanes do you?:what:

What would I need with this huge stockpile of guns and ammo if there was no threat of rampant zombiism?

It doesn't matter whether or not you believe in monsters. What matters is whether the monsters believe in you.

A JOKE?!?!? There's nothing funny about being prepared for the imminent zombie invasion!

You may laugh now, but mark my words, it IS going to happen. And when it does, it's sites like that one that you won't be able to reach and books like the Zombie Survival Guide that won't be found in stores. Then all of the Unprepared will be nothing more than moving zombie food! And guess who's not gonna help you? That's right, the Prepared!

So laugh it up now while you're still alive, because soon, it'll be too late!

I'm just hoping for "shamblers" over "runners." You don't have to lead as much.

Taking bets on how long this thread will remain unlocked. LOL

I'm always on the lookout for zombies! The first report I hear I'm heading to the nearest mall:D

For years when people ask me why I have so many guns and so much ammo I simply say as seriously as I can "zombies"

Where's the cheapest place I can find 7.62x39 HP ammo to help stock up for the imminent zombie invasion?

cheap attempt to keep it gun-related.

I know there's been endless debate on the ideal caliber for zombies, but is there any difference in what you should use if confronted with shamblers vs. runners? It seems to me that you could use a smaller, higher velocity round against shamblers since precise shot placement would be much easier. Against a runner, you'd want the biggest, most powerful round you could easily handle just to make sure you caused enough damage to put 'em down for good. Any thoughts? :p

sacp81170a, if you consult the documentary work "World War Z" (a really entertaining book, BTW), you'll find that the military settled on a small, high-velocity round (I think it was either .223 or .22, and if the latter, it was modified somewhat) in semiautomatic to deal with the shamblers, since that provided for maximum ammo capacity, adequate killing power, and low recoil for quick follow ups.

Those who fight zombies must take care not to become one...

==========

It's more disaster preparation related...

unlike the Federal Vampire and Zombie Agency

It doesn't matter whether or not you believe in monsters. What matters is whether the monsters believe in you.

Many zombies don't believe in me. They think I'm just a bedtime story made up to scare litte zombie children.

I assure you, I exist.

Sleep tight, zombies.

:neener: This must be a joke right? I dont totally discard that if a nuclear or biological disaster occurs they might be some horrible mutation, but I dont think they will attack us or? If so maybe they have firearms too :uhoh:

I love that quote:

A government that disarms its citizens in the guise of protecting them, is in reality, protecting themselves from its citizens.

What a couple of wise words...
