The USA is moving toward more gun freedom at this time. The reason is that people in the USA are becoming more open to firearms and view this right as being more important. Obama would take our guns away if he were the supreme leader but in the end he has very little domestic power. The world views him as very powerful because he has more influence out of the country. Here in the USA your governor of your state is more important. They could push gun control at the federal level but 2 states have already enacted the 10th amendment and will not recognize any new gun control laws coming from washington DC. Texas is working on this as well.
If you study our government system you'll understand why we should be thankful to our founding fathers even if the socialists don't even want us to study them in school anymore and demonize them.
The USA is the last stand though. As soon as we are disarmed the genocides will begin again. As soon as the government has absolute control over us they will decide what information we can get as well and as soon as socialists have blind zones where no information enters or leaves an area they will line up opposition and kill them again. I think the genocides may start again in europe even if we are not disarmed in the USA. Remember that a socialist democracy has two options as the system begins to fail (and socialism always fails in the end even if they have money trees like in northern europe or venezuela, the oil or other resource will someday run dry), those two options being move right or try to control everything. Hitler decided to control everything and as each control brought about more failure the controls become more severe until they search out the cultprits or the bad guys and killed them. This always happens. Look for a socialist movement in which they decided to use controls to solve their problems rather than moving right or back to freedom that did not result in genocides. I can't think of one. Venezuela and northern europe have not been tested yet but it will happen.
