Wow, I am so sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family. Very sad indeed.

When I just was starting out shooting, I spent a lot of time in the shotgun area, just lurking, and reading the sticky library. My first gun was a shotgun. Dave's posts gave me a lot to think about, and I learned quite a bit from him.

My prayers go out to his friends and family.

I never asked specific advice from him but have reviewed many posts in reply to others questions and his depth of knowledge was unbelievable. He will be missed here for sure. I can only imagine what the family is dealing with. My thoughts and prayers are with them all.

Though I also never met the man in person; Peace to Dave McCracken, his family, and friends. He has obviously been a part of many people's lives and will be remembered fondly and missed greatly. I, too, have appreciated the insight and wisdom he has shared here.
