If it were my call, and the rifle checked out OK, I'd get the GBL over the G. I have a 336BL in .30-30 and I think it's a great handling and sized rifle, minus a couple of quibbles (it's a late JM/New Haven gun). I remember spotting a few 1895GBLs at the same gun shop about the time of the New Haven to NY move, I wanted one but was into other hobbies and didn't investigate them too closely.
The larger loop is probably my favorite feature of the rifle. The stock Marlin levers are a bit small if you're wearing any kind of glove, in my experience. But the BL lever solves that issue completely, and it's notably slower to operate. Also, having the magazine tube extend all the way to the muzzle just makes the rifle look correct to my eyes.
