Here is the story. This is a Tikka T3X 270 Winchester stainless laminate. The length of pull has been shortened to 13.5" and a 0.9" Cervellati Microcell pad has been custom fit. The factory plastic trigger guard/mag well has been replaced with an angular High Desert Rifle Works bottom metal unit. This is a very high quality part made mostly of aluminum with a matte Cerakote finish. Original black mag, and action screws. Bottom metal fit perfectly, and helped provide a good base to properly torque the action screws. It came with shims, but didn't need them at all. Impressed with the quality and fit of the part.

How do you like the laminated stock? I've been looking at that specific rifle and trying to chose between the laminated and regular black synthetic. I can't find a laminated in store to check the fit and feel. Do you think the laminated will hold up well in the field?
