Fellow Americans we have time for our representatives to read one more round of letters it seems, before they vote on the federal level for these gun control Bills in the next week or so. I sent a letter using the NRA's website (see signature for link) to my federal AND state representatives.
My latest letter; (note: I loosely used a small statement at the end from what July Fourth Patriot had said in a gun rights video recently)
Not the most eloquent letter but better than nothing.

With the recent attacks on our Constitutional Rights on the federal and state levels I would like to take the time to remind you that regardless of what you hear Americans and Mainers do NOT want stricter gun control. We already have thousands of gun laws to try and obey when exercising our Second Amendment Rights, many of which if we do not understand or aren't aware of will award us ten years in prison just for trying to be law abiding citizens.
Maine has some of the loosest gun laws and yet the lowest gun crime compared to other states. Places likes Boston and New York city where it is nearly impossible to legally obtain a firearm has the worst gun crime rates because only law abiding citizens obey the laws.
Please do everything in your power to OPPOSE further gun control. Turning regular law abiding citizens into criminals will not solve anything but only hurt Maine's economy and businesses. Already hundreds of us are organizing and watching to see how our representatives represent us to see if they should be supported or unseated at the next election. Rest assured we will stand behind you if you work to uphold the Constitution of the United States and of the State of Maine.
There are more gun owners here than you know, we're doctors, we're lawyers, we're Marines, we're all around you and you don't know it because we ARE you. Don't victimize your constituents. OPPOSE further gun control and protect our way of life.
