Time to face facts: Strikers win

Striker fired guns generally require extended slides which hang over the grip to the rear. They will weigh more and have a larger profile because of it. There's no guarantee that the trigger will be better or worse than hammer fired, tho. Most are precocked so the trigger only takes up the last of the tensioning before release.
Could you cite even a single example that demonstrates that striker guns must be heavier or longer than their hammer fired counterparts?

I have no desire to get into the hammer vs. striker debate. I would suggest you check out the Ruger American Compact Pistol. It hasn't been out long but it is available with or without a thumb safety. I bought a full sized one for my wife not too long ago & like it.

Not sure if anything shoots better then the other the key is practice makes you shoot better at least that is what I have noticed, practice and muscle memory makes a better shooter

Don't sell yourself short. If you can learn to shoot a striker fired gun well then you can learn to shoot all the other types as well......

I was kind of wondering where he came to this conclusion as well. His statement couldn't be more false. It made me scratch my head with a puzzled look on my face
