That's for me to know and not you!
Well I wanted to get an AK or two and since I live in California I have to get it with specific features added such as a magazine screw. I have a site that I like to buy stuff from and deals direct with my FFL.

www.coldwarshooters.com

These are the models of AK's that I am looking at purchasing.

They had another one for 729 and frankly that's out of my price range for an AK. I plan to possibly buy two but at least one right now. What do you guys think? And if you have any other suggestions for a CALI one let me know thanks in advance.

It's hard to go wrong with a Saiga. Yes, they ship in a 'sporter' configuration, but you can convert them to a more traditional AK config and still stay Kali legal. If you have tool skills, the conversion is actually fun and educational.

Get one from Mark at ARS, http://www.arizonaresponsesystems.com/
That's what i did and i highly recommend getting one of his.
Make sure to ask him to remove the pistol grip to ship to california.
Then, i'd recommend having it shipped to Bright Spot Pawn in Riverside http://www.brightspotpawn.com/

Then, head on over to http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/index.php , it's a California Forum on firearms ownership. Lots' of great info there on owning a firearm in Ca and how to keep it legal.

Hth!

The WASR's are on lowest scale for AK's. Personally I would never own one. I can afford better.

There is nothing wrong with the WASR-10s. They are toward the bottom but that is mostly the finish on the wood and metal. It is best to check for mag wobble, canted front sight, and canted gas block. I have one and it runs great and is accurate enough.
