I went shooting yesterday. It was mid 50s here. I was able to print a 2 3/4" group with my flattop Blackhawk 44 special at 25y from setting rested off my knee. That's as good as I've ever done with that gun at that distance. I was having both a good eye and hand day.

If I had a couple of "triple deuces," I'd take them out and shoot them today.:D
I like the idea of shooting 2 .222 Remingtons on 2/2/22 at 2 pm. :):p Maybe even shoot 2 rounds... twice! :neener:
Once upon a time I did have 2 .222 Remingtons. One an old Savage 340 and the other a CZ 527 FS. Sold the CZ last year as part of an effort to thin the herd so am down to just the Savage now in my .222's.

Ill get my .222 Contender and 222/20 Savage and a 22 handgun.
2/22/2022. Yes, I do have them.
I like the triple way more than the 223. Wish I still had my 700 varmint 222.

My Deuce and I drank coffee at the kitchen window this morning, waiting for a "target of opportunity"... unfortunately none mad an appearance, so I went on to work. It's now 30* and raining, soon to be snowing, so I don't expect to do any shooting this evening either. I currently have a Springfield 840 (Savage 340), thanks to the enablers here on THR. Not the prettiest gun ever made, but will drive tacks despite the creepy trigger; having said that, it might be my favorite rifle!

At noon we are about 10* above, I ain't shooting anything.
Lightweight. :D

I shot on Monday at 15* here, a beautiful sunny day. Today was in the mid 20's, blowing pretty good and looked like it was going to snow any second. They say its supposed to get into the 40's but that might be pushing it.

The worst part about this time of year is picking up your brass when it froze to the crusty snow, or worse, in the powder and you arent wearing gloves. :)

Yep, I definitely prefer shooting revolvers over shell-chuckers this time of year here. And seeing as how our usual "range" is a local county gravel pit, our truck's 4-wheel drive capability comes in handy occasionally.
Not today though - there's at least 2 feet of snow in that gravel pit. If I drove our truck down into it, it would be there till spring, even with 4-wheel drive. Besides that, the darned tire pressure alarms have been blinking at me every time I've driven that truck in the last two weeks!:uhoh:

I have one, a Remington 600, but I didn't shoot today. Its pretty gloomy and doomy here today. It looks like we are going to get some of that nasty weather that the Weather People are predicting.

Yea, we sure have some snow in ID. 70mpwtz.jpg

You shoot .22LRs?

We had snow.
The other day it was fifty degrees out. We hardly have any snow and beneath the trees was green.

It’s -10 right now.
(It was a ruse, to kill the gullible. Mother Nature doesn’t tolerate frivolity.)

We spent our first night in the house. I didn’t sleep. There are two steps in the whole house, instead of 27! My knees like that!

So, instead of spending the whole day cleaning, I’m going to take my two kiddos out to a two-track that is not too snowy and shoot two sets of .22s, two rifles, two pistols, and two suppressors with two bricks of the last of the Remington Thundercrap.
Hopefully I won’t have to hit too many of them twice for a bang…:D

That was fun! Let’s do seven next!:)
