Tom Gresham's New Year's Resolution--shoot more wheelguns!

Did anyone else catch that today? I was happy to hear Gresham indicate his resolution was to shoot more revolvers, and introduce new shooters to the wheelgun. I find too many newbies who regard revolvers as antiquated, and do not take them seriously. They'll spend a ton of money on some plastic bottom feeder, and never know the pure pleasure of shooting a working piece of art.

That's my resolution too Cosmoline......

I love introducing the joys of wheel gun shooting to the "plastic fantastic" crowd at our range. Just yesturday while testing a couple different .45 Colt+P loads, one of our young plastic bottom feeder fans wondered over to the steel plates where I was conducting my tests, and he couldn't belive how big my .45 Colt's were compared to his puny little 9mm's. Then I fired off 6 rounds of 255 grainers, propelled by 20.0 grs. of 2400, and he almost fell over.
Then I loaded up 6 more, handed him my 5.5" Vaquero, showed him how to hold an SA revolver, and let him fire away.

That boy walked away from the firing line with a grin on his face that went ear to ear......I just wish I had brought some of my black powder loads for him to expirience too.......
