If the Rocky mountains are not God's idea of church I don't know what is.

Ran about 400 shells through the Defender and patterned 6 or 7 types of buckshot and found that the Defender loves Federal Premium Plated 9 pellet 00 buck, and hates Winchester 3" 15 pellet. Which is lucky for me as I am not that fond of the 3" either.

There's swamp and woods on the Eastern shore of Md that's a Cathedral also, Cameron. The Almighty has a great sense of esthetics....

Come to think of it, no 15 pellet 00 I've tried has patterned as tight as the better 9 pellet loads. Since shotgun ballistics are more akin to Voodoo than science, YMMV....

Hey, Cameron, can you please answer my PMs? I've been waiting for you!

Tom Selleck called, he wantshis shirt back. :D

That hi-vis front sight is pretty slick. Is it stock?

I was thinking the same as a drove through the beautiful little valley coming back from the last shoot. The winding stream the horses grazing the valley floor. The pines holding the steep hills in place...

To answer some questions:
Blain - Hey, Cameron, can you please answer my PMs? I've been waiting for you!
I have been busy with business. I will be answering correspondence tomorrow. (I just checked my email inbox :what: 106 messages awaiting my attention):fire:

Tom was actually visiting and we went to the favourite dump to shoot a little and pick up some world famous steaks from the 'Bailey Country Store'. Although that particular shirt is actually mine. Tom didn't see the humor in it at all and made disparaging remarks also. I will pass on that his opinion is echoed in Dr. Rob. FYI the Hi-Viz is stock and can be removed revealing the standard bead beneath. Another Defender advantage.

I am actually from New Zealand, another beautiful part of the world the has aptly earned the name "Godzone", but I now spend quite a lot of time in the greater Denver area.

I'll be shooting again this week. God worked for six days and rested on the seventh. That doesn't mean he lay on the couch. I am sure he picked up the original "Thunder Bolt" gun and did some hunting for himself. Otherwise he would not have made it so much fun for us.

Cameron

The fact that there's so much beauty out there, Cameron, is what convinced me that there was a Creator. The fact that we can appreciate it convinces me that God wants us to be happy.

Beautiful places and shotguns go together in my mind.

Cameron,

You sure be right about the Rocky Mountains being "church." I spend more time in the Smokey Mountains than the Rockies, or here on my little Tennessee "ranch," but either one sure puts me closer to my creator than any stuffy building and a preacher full of stale hot air!

Nothing like getting out in the woods, especially with a favorite firearm. I prefer a vintage Colt SAA or S&W, but my Super 90 and at least 50 shells come along with me when there's tree trimming to do along the trails.

Many would disagree with the "church" and nature comparison; however, I don't think those individuals I really look up to would object. Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau immediately come to mind.
