Does anyone have any experience dealing with Top Brass.com? I am needing some .300WM brass, and noticed they seem to show its in stock. I know its mixed headstamps, but I also have about 50 cases of mixed head stamps now. If I could buy some, and add to what I have I may be able to get enough of one case to work up a load. I have been trying to find new brass..... But!!

If anyone has any leads on .300 brass that would be great also! I have been watching here in the sale/trade, but haven't seen anything. Thanks!

I know the name and company has been around for a while but I have not ordered from them. Where do you see 300Win Mag??

I think their was a thread around here a day or two ago that mentioned them, no?

Do you mean Top Brass Reloading Supplies? If so my buddy has ordered 30-06 from them before with no issue. I would call to check on inventory.

I have used both .223 Rem and .308 Win cases from topbrass-inc.com. These unprimed cases were sold as sized and trimmed. About 2% of them were either severely dented or not sized correctly (shoulder either not pushed back far enough or not sized at all). Keep in mind the .223 and .308 were military cases (mostly Lake City with some Taiwanese) that were probably fired through machine guns. With these calibers as long as you inspect your cases and don't mind having to toss a few Top Brass is okay to deal with.

With 300 Win Mag or other non-autoloading type calibers you'll probably have a more consistent product to deal with and should be good to go.

Top Brass was owned by Dan and Kay Scharch until about 4 years ago. The new owners changed a few things from when Dan and Kay owned it, but as far as I know, they're still a reputable firm.

Hope this helps.

Steve- the first one. Top brass reloading. I really wish I could find 100 new cases, but that has been a no go so far. I don't shoot my 300wm just to shoot, so once fired may work pretty well for me.

Oh, I was looking at the other one. Top Brass Inc. Did not know there was the "reloading" one.

I know the purpose of the thread has been fulfilled, but I wanted to clarify that the above company-formerly Scharch-is GTG in my book. I've ordered several thousand prepped brass from these people over the years with nothing but good results.
As far as the OTHER top brass outfit-never knew about them until this thread....

I thinking about placing an order with these folks

Anybody ever ordered from them ?
Best price on .308 I can find.
I ordered 1,000 rounds of once fired. .223 brass from them back in the spring. It was mixed head stamp and most of it had the military crimp. I have no complaints. I would say less than five percent was unusable. It was at an excellent price and I ordered on Monday and received it Wednesday. I will buy from them again.

That's good to hear cdb1. I prefer to buy .556 military cases with the crimp still there. Lets you know the brass is/should be true once fired.
