My personal top 10:

1: M-66 S&W 4" (The do-it-all; defense, hunting, trail gun, CCW etc..)
2: A quality stainless 1911 .45 ACP (The classic home defense gun)
3: Ruger Redhawk stainless .44 4" (Bombproof woods gun; bears, etc)
4: Browning Buckmark .22LR (Reasonable cost, great quality plinker/trainer)
5: Walther PPK stainless .380 (A classic carry gun)
6: S&W 640/642 (Centennial, another classic carry gun)
7: Glock 19 (A very good concealed/home defense/trail gun)
8: TC Contender with barrels in .22 LR, .223, 6.5 TCU, .35 Rem (Silhouette, target, hunting, etc)
9: Ruger single six convertable ss .22/.22mag 6 1/2" (camp hunter/pot gun)
10: Colt Ultimate Python 6" ('cause it's always been THE Cadillac of revolvers)


I also like the CZ 75, S&W kit gun .22 LR, Ruger Super Redhawk .454, Ruger Vaquero .45 Colt, S&W 686+, Dan Wesson pistol packs in .357 .22, or .44, but the ones I listed are my choice for end of the world scenarios that'll do anything I'll ever need at any time.
