CZ 75B Compact
Ruger Mark III
Ruger Blackhawk
CZ 75B
CZ 83
Ruger Single Six
Beretta 92 FS
S&W K Frame
Ruger SR22

I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite since they are all so different. I had a hard time leaving my CZ Rami off the list. That is a fun gun too. Come to think of it I would probably put the Rami up there and take off the Beretta.... I guess all that this list really means is that I like my guns. I don't have any safe queens. I'm not too sentimental about my Glock or my LCP. They fall into the "they are what they are" category.

Okay, here's my list:

1. Colt SAA
2. S&W Model 65 3"
3. Colt Python
4. Ruger Old Army
5. Colt 1860 Army
6. 1911
7. Colt Walker
8. Browning HI-Power
9. Ruger Single Six
10. Colt 1903

Many of these are from my personal collection or I have shot a lot. I went a little heavy with the black powder but they are fun.

Ten that I don't have but would like to...

1. Colt Delta Elite (stainless)
2. Colt 1911 in .38 Super (maybe a Commander?)
3. USGI M1911/M1911A1 (a WWII Remington Rand would do nicely)
4. Browning Hi Power (a nice shooter grade one, might even carry it once in a while)
5. East German Makarov
6. S&W Victory Model (US Navy marked)
7. S&W Model 10 (shooter grade...ought to get one of those police trade-ins)
8. Ruger Speed Six, 2 3/4 inch, .357 Magnum (similarly-sized Service Six would work too)
9. Ruger Bearcat
10. Webley or Enfield service revolver

Savage 1907
1911
VIS P35 Radom
Ruger MK1
FN Browning Hi-Power
Ruger SR9

2. S&W 686
3. Beretta 92
4. Glock 19
5. S&W 629
6. Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan .44 mag
7. Colt King Cobra in Bright Stainless
8. Sig P220
9. Glock 26
10. Mid-High End 1911 (Dan Wesson or Les Baer)

Those are my top ten. I like Glocks and 1911s, and it is always a blast to shoot some 357s and 44 magnums out of a nice revolver.

Nine world classic guns and one.....um....not classic gun....

Sentimental value?

Top Ten Handguns...for one particular purpose or everything together?

My list of Top Ten Handguns for Everything:
Glock 19 9mm
Glock 20 10mm
Glock 34 9mm
Dan Wesson Specialist .45 ACP
Dan Wesson V-Bob .45 ACP
Colt Delta Elite 10mm
Ruger Blackhawk 4" .44 Rem Mag
Ruger New Model Single Six Convertible .22LR/WMR
Ruger GP100 6" .357 Rem Mag
Magnum Research Desert Eagle .50 AE

For autos, I mostly stick to Glocks and 1911s these days. A lot of people seem to think these are mutually exclusive, like they are opposing teams. I don't get it. For sure they are different experiences, but both have proven reputations that I respect. I have three of each selected, to give me options for either in CCW, bedstand, and truck gun configurations.
Never really thought I was much of a revolver guy. The revolvers I do seem to enjoy the most of have the best experiences with are made by Ruger. Reliable and nearly indestructible, I have three Ruger revolvers selected to follow up the autos, including my only .22 LR handgun in the list.
The last choice on the list is a sort of anomoly. While most of my choices others could agree are pretty practical, this one serves no real purpose. I could see doing some handgun hunting with it, but for that purpose I would mostly use the .44 Ruger. The Desert Eagle exists just for fun. It's entertainment value is enormous, assuming you can afford to feed it. If none of you have ever used a mag full of .50 caliber 325 gr JSP to split firewood or bang a hanging steel plate off its chains, you don't know what you're missing.

I'll give my 2¢ with my top ten:

  1. Browning Hi-Power
  2. Colt 1851 Navy
  3. Glock 17
  4. Glock 21
  5. Ruger Mk II
  6. S&W 60

S&W Model 10-5, tapered 4 inch, SB, .38 Special
S&W Model 13, 3 inch, RB, .357 Magnum
