Trading an H&R Pardner Tracker II

I am pretty seriously thinking of trading my H&R Pardner Tracker II 12 ga rifled shotgun in for a small .380. I bought the shotgun used back in Feb for $200, put a Bushnell scope on it, and haven't even sighted it in yet. The gun is in very good shape. I haven't been deer hunting since I moved to IL 5 years ago because I don't have a place to hunt here.
A few questions: what should I expect as a trade in for the shotgun, is it good gun shop etiquette to haggle, should I be expecting a certain amount and not go any lower?
I've never traded or sold a gun, only bought before, so any insight you have would be appreciated.

You would be better off to sell it to a private party. When you trade in a gun(or anything else), you usually get screwed. You could try so sell(or trade) it in the for sale section on this forum. Good luck!

for trade ins,they usually look up book value and give you 30-50 percent of book as trade in
