Well, I thought this thread would answer my questions, but it didn't. I have some assorted magazines that I want to bring home with me (AR mags, some others), as well as some parts. All plastic stuff, no barrels or receivers or anything. I will be flying out of Germany back to the States.

I hit up the TSA website and according to this page and this page firearms parts (no further clarifications) are allowed in your checked baggage. Am I good then? Are there further restrictions in Germany I need to know about? I know it's just checked baggage, but I was wondering if I would be unknowingly violating some law by bringing that stuff home. There's always the mail if it would be.

I doubt it would be a problem. Companies import practically entire MG's as long as the receiver is cut. Call the TSA. Not that 9 out of 10 baggage screeners would know what those parts are anyway.
You could ship them to yourself also. "Assorted plastic recepticles" :)
