Truglo TFO Front sight only

I currently own a Springfield 1911 Loaded model (government, steel frame) with tritium night sites. I'd like to get the TFO Green for the front sight but I don't want to purchase the entire sight set. I'd rather not have bright sights in back and the cost of the whole set would be more expensive (well, I'd assume as much anyway.)

Does anyone know where I can pick up just the front sight? And if slide is cut to accept these sights?

I added a set to my XDm. I picked green front and amber rear. I don't think of the rears as being bright. I just focus on the front.

I don't understand why you wouldn't want to be able to see your sights as well as possible.

I also would prefer only the front sight... the big problem is finding out whether they even make a set that will fit your 1911. I contacted them about a build a while ago and they said the only one they had was Kimber cut, whatever that meant.

I'll wager you are under 40 years old. Once the presbyoptia kicks in and your near vision gets bad, it becomes darn hard to see the sights in good light without reading glasses

In the poor light you'd need night sights, telling the front from the rear is not so easy! Different color front and rear would help but but I also think having only the front sight glow would help even more.
