I put a set of TruGlo TFO sites on a G32 about two years ago, and then recently put a set on a G23. The new ones are about half as bright as the two year old ones. And I'm not just talking about the tritium/no light brightness (its not a case of old spent tritium), I'm also talking about the low-light fiber optic brightness. It's both -- under any conditions they just simply are not nearly as bright.

It seems like they've gone with lower quality materials. Anyone else notice this?

TruGlo

I put a set of TFO sights on a G19 two years ago. A few months back the left dot on the rear sight went out. I called TruGlo and inquired about a repair and they said “they were not set up to do repair work”. ???
Anyway, with nothing to lose, I went here http://www.sdmfabricating.com/ and purchased a couple of fiber optic rods. I drilled out the existing rod then Superglued the new one in. I was relieved to find out it was not the tritium lamp that went bad, but the FO looked like it was checked on the inside and quite transmitting light. And yes, I too am disappointed in the quality.

Regards,
Kootny

That's a shame, the first ones I got are at least 4 yrs old and still the best that I have in all conditions. I was going to order another set but now maybe I will do some more checking, at least on their warranty.
