Trump Moves to Ban Bumpster Stocks

Guys the POTUS has said to-day that he will "write out" the bumpster stocks even if congress doesn't. He really wants them banned:

Guys write your leaders on this one, it's going to be a big push I can feel it. Have never posted one of these activism threads before but I came across this, hopefully I did it right I apologize in advance if this is the wrong area or if this is inappropriate. Thanks.

And, now Trump shows his true colors. He proposes a ban on these stocks by claiming that Obama's administration was responsible for making them legal in the first place. Did the "pro-gun" president really just tell us that the most anti-gun president in modern times was more pro-gun than him?

So, what can we do now?

They aren't using congress to institute this ban, they're using DOJ rule interpretation. Trump doesn't care what anyone says, so will it really help to write to the White House? Will anything come of the 90 day public comment period?

I guess it's time to start writing some strongly worded letters, before millions of innocent gun owners become felons for possessing these stocks. For whatever it's worth, I'm glad I sold mine for a profit during the initial ban scare.

Let's stay focused on the original plan and stay within the Activism rules.

Keep your emails and letters and calls to your Congesscritters brief, polite and to the point. Make the point that no accessories will meet the definition under the law of a machinegun and that a new law would be required to create a new classification. That is the role of Congress, not an Agency.

Keep in mind that the comment period on rule making will be specifically for the ATF and not Congress.

Find organizations to work with on comments, be they manufacturers, industry groups, the ACLU, state and national RKBA groups, etc.
