Tuckable holster

[Lucky Derby]

Going to have my CCW soon and will need a tuckable holster for a J frame. Seems to be the only practical way to carry in my uniform at work. Tucked in polo shirt. Anyone have any recommendations. Leather only, I don't care for plastic or nylon holsters.
In case you wonder, my boss is A-Okay with the gun while working. He's getting his CCW too, and we will take the class together.

I'm pretty pleased with my High Noon holsters. I have the Alter Ego and Split Decision for my 3913, and I'm pretty pleased. They're both leather, and tuckable. the Alter Ego is reinforced. I'm pretty sure both are made for most all of the J-frames.

I paid 158 for both holsters and shipping.

I've made it a personal mission in life to make sure as few people as possible buy a Crossbreed Supertuck.

You simply can not get a good grip on your weapon while it is holstered in a Crossbreed Supertuck. The leather backing is in the way of getting your hand properly on the grip of the weapon... even on their "combat cut" holsters.

Granted, they are very comfortable to wear, but absolute garbage if you ever need your weapon.

Get a Highnoon, Blade-tech or HBE

Carrying in a High Noon Split Decision as I type. My vz 82 isn't a J-frame, it's bigger, and I barely notice it... from the few times I've carried a J-frame, I'm guessing this holster would make one completely disappear, especially if you get an Airweight.

If your pants allow it, I find pocket carry of an airweight j-frame in a pocket holster to be the easiest way to go. Otherwise, it looks like Galco has come out with a "new" holster that looks like a crossbreed or similar designs called the Kingtuck. Haven't seen one in person.

I'll be honest, I see the utility of the Supertuck and Minotaur but I don't like Kydex either. They're good designs but I just can't get excited about them and prefer 100% leather myself.

So a few nice choices in leather tuckables:

K&D Thunderbird Defender
Ugly Bald Guy Becker (usually I recommend dual clip over all, but your J Frame is pretty small)
High Noon Tail Gate or Split Decision (Tail Gate is very nice but $$$)
HBE Tuckable (Eric makes some of the best leather out there ... I just don't know what his wait times are like right now)

cross breed super tuck. I highly recomend them, i have a box full of all the big name and most popular holsters, and the super tuck is my favorite by far.

It is not entirly leather, however the kydex shell is not plastic it is kydex. which is a good thing, it won't close up on you when you remove the gun, as well it will allow you a stiff place to conduct one handed slide racks, when you are training (or should be) for one handed malfunction clearance. and a hard spot to tap the magazine to ensure that it is seated on the above scenario. if you do this with most all leather holsters you will tear them up in short order.

I design and make my own holsters. I like a high leather backing -- if you carry n a tuckable, you need something between the gun butt and your skin, and you can't always wear two layers of clothes.

"...design and make my own holsters..." Ditto. You need something between leather and your hide too. Chafes and gets hot in a hurry. Plastic is worse though.
"...Tucked in polo shirt..." You want the 'J' frame under the shirt?
Kydex is plastic. Thermoplastic, but still plastic.

Not in my experience, and I've carried all day, every day with variations of this design for more than 20 years.

However, you could put cambrelle on the backing, if you wished.
