I will be in Tulsa for business and am planning to go to the semi annual Wanenmacher show. My buddy says it is the best gun show in the US. How many others have been there? Are there bargains to be had?

Have lotsa members of the club here who make the trek to Tulsa. Great show, and really takes 2 days to walk thru the whole thing. Very good, and you can find some deals, as I know of several who found some deals on rifles, ammo , and other stuff. I doubt that I will make it, but then again, ya never know.:p

I'm gonna be there. We're flying into OK City Friday where my brother (from Albuquerque) will pick us up and drive us to the show. My brother says to bring the best walking shoes you have, and he says that if there is anything you want to see, it will be there.

It's absolutely huge. I had no idea the first time I went. I have been to other shows since then, but wow. There is more than enough gun related stuff to far outweigh the Native American flute craftsmen and beef jerky exhibitors. :)

Tulsa

We planned & planned to go,then the tax man cometh. It really saddend Bobby,HE is ailing so bad anyway, but was saving strength and money to go,we had such bad times around here at the local shows. Enjoy if you all get to go,we wanted to go and visit , window shop ,experience the event. Thanks

It is a good gun show. Lots of collectors stuff. Unfortunately the prices don't seem to be as good as they were 4 and more years ago. The Texas dealers don't go there anymore and the more modern stuff is cheaper here. In fact the Tulsa show is hard pressed to beat the prices at Outdoor America, a gun store in OKC. If there is no urgency to buy to get a good deal, I will just wait before I spend the money on a gun that I can get anytime I want at a comparable price.

I started going to the Tulsa show in 1995 and have been every year except 1999 (the year my daughter got married). I had a wedding to pay for that kept me finacially embarrassed, so I had to skip that year. I am going this year and have had motel reservations for over a month. This is one heck of a show! True the prices have increased through the years but if there is something you want, it will be there.
I will be looking for a new Springfield Armory- M1A while at the show!

I haven't been to a Wanenmacher show in, oh, prolly 12 years or so. I am going to make it this year though. I'll drive up Saturday morning from OKC, tool around the 3800 tables. Gonna have to go eat at Cafe Ole off Peoria. :D

If I remember correctly, the building the gun show is in is so big they have World of Outlaw races in it. In one end of it.
